The 2nd Flush in Darjeeling produces mature, more rounded flavors than the 1st Flush. Plucked in the early summer months of May and June from the Ambootia estate (which is about 60 miles from Mount Kangchenjunga, the third tallest peak in the world), this tea has dark blackish brown, coppery leaves with pale yellowish tips that brew into notes of grain, nuts, and dried apricot with a crisp, clean, and slightly astringent finish.
