This Lapsang Souchong has an intense smokey flavor and aroma. Seems to be more popular with Ladies which is surprising as it has been described that you are drinking a campfire or a heavy cigar!

I have wanted to try this tea since I read about it in the novel Centennial. I was happy to find it in the cafe. It has a very smokey flavor. I use water steeped with the tea to cook rice. It adds an interesting flavor.

While I am quite partial to this tea, I readily admit it is something of an acquired taste.  Lapsang has a very smokey, earthy, robust flavor.  I find it to be particularly suitable to those brisk fall/winter days when it's flavor pairs well with cool temps, sweaters, and a nice blaze in the fireplace.  English Tealeaves has the best Lapsang I've tasted.  If you're not sure this tea is for you, I'd recommend sampling a trial size.
