Teas from Georgia (in Russian: Grusinia) boast a long tradition, are hard to find and very rare. Some of you may remember the very popular Georgian Old Lady, which we had to stop selling because of high moisture content.
Tea has been cultivated and produced in Georgia since the middle of the 18th Century. Chinese tea shrubs form the basis of Georgian tea cultivation. The leaf is matte black, long and wiry, with a sweet, bready scent when infused, It is bronze in color and a full bodied, spicy, fruity brew.
